So the problem with not planning out your week very well is that you end up repeating all your old recipes and have nothing new for the blog. This week, I have bigger plans though!
The share took a definite turn for the wintry with lots of leafy greens coming back. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it is super simple to just cook them down to a manageable side dish, and just whip right through the share. On the other, they do take lots of upfront prep, and tend to get repetitive, even when you are really trying to be creative.
- Chinese cabbage
- Winter squash – now my farmer said it was edible, but his wife wrote on the farm blog that it was decorative? I cooked it, and it certainly seemed edible, but I’m going to have to look on-line to be totally sure of what I got
- 1 mini delicata squash
- Jamie Oliver’s spicy pork goulash (to use up the peppers)
- Baba Ganoush (because why not make it again?)
- Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie (for guests)
- Arugula pesto
- Squash Fritters
