Dinner with Friends

We had fellow CSAers J and M over for dinner recently for a luscious fish meal. J has some real foodie chops, so I sort-of let her take over in the kitchen. She brought Forbidden Rice, which I had never even heard of before, but which tastes and looks amazing, and is apparently also more nutritious than regular rice.

She also sauteed up some greens from the CSA share – lightly flavored oil, rice vinegar, toasted sesames, and probably something else that I am forgetting? Her presentation here is clearly superior to mine.
Finally, she fixed my fish. I had planned to do a steaming thing with sake and ginger and lime, and J added some sake/mirin glaze. So we steamed the fish, then gave it a quick broil with the glaze on.
The final results were amazing.
